Program Description

PPTLC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in the fall of 2010 to provideeducational The Pediatric Play Therapy Learning Coalition, Inc provides a Music and Movement Programopportunities for atypically developing children (children with a diagnosis of autism and/or developmental delay).  PPTLC's music andmovement is a program designed to helpspecial needs children improve their memory correlating with their general intelligence skills as well as addressing motor and language skills.  Music and Movement is a six week program utilizing a variety of themes to help children with special needs grow and learn through interaction with music.  Children ages 2-15, who have special needs, and their families, are encouraged to attend. 

 

A variety of activities, set to music, will be used to address

fine and gross motor skills,

and socializing.

Parent Focus Groups

Parents of children with a disability or special need face many challenges when trying to find services or help for their child.  The gradual acceptance of the situation can be painful. Each The Pediatric Play Therapy Learning Coalition, Inc provides parent focus groupsdisability brings with it its own special concerns. But there are many issues in which parents share in common.  PPTLC also provides parents opportunities to share and network about concerns, fears and resources, share a meal, and learn the skill of advocating for their child.
